I don't believe it! No sooner do I manage to successfully conduct what appears to be a once in a wartime, stratospheric experiment on Japstronauts, that I find myself (quite soon afterwards) with another opportunity to improve my technique. This time, it was at the harbor in Ponape (AKA, Kolonia). One torp set for contact influence and that poor little PT Boat shot up like a flea on a hot brick. I was able to get a lot of SS this time. The PT Boat began to spin rapidly, like a top. Must've been, at least, 500 revolutions per minute, no exaggeration. Using the 4 story buildings in the background as a rough guide, I estimated the dock cranes to be about 75 feet high. With this in mind, I estimated the height that the PT Boat traveled to be in excess of 300 feet.
The best part was the landing. The boat bounced off the dock and went back up to about 150 feet, popping, sparking and releasing aerial bursts all the while. It was still spinning at an astonishing rate too. The second bounce sent it over a hill where it landed in another dock on the opposite side approximately 1000yds away. That's over a half mile!
I had no idea this game would make me laugh so hard. I'm almost in tears right now.
