Haha, that lazer drill mission was fun.
The thing could shoot anywhere on the map if it was "unfogged". So, what I did was, I trained few ghosts with the "Cloak uses no energy" upgrade and parked them into the enemy bases. Didn't take long to systematically destroy the bases.
