I agree that the characters kinda pop up out of nowhere. Start a mission, some doc starts flapping her gums and next thing you know she's settling in on your ship.
The backstory is described in the manual though. First 8 pages are the usual technical stuff on how to double-click an icon to start the game and who to complain to if you can't manage that. Pages 9-19 deal with the backstory. Knew absolutely nothing about the first game, apart from the fact
Koreans are really good at it. Thanks to the bit in the manual I don't feel like I missed anything.
I really must say I think this is a good, even remarkable release... at least by todays standards. (yeah; which standards?)
