Wouldn't say it's addicting (yet), but it's definetly top quality. The bits between missions are maybe the best of the game.

I got a bit mixed feelings about it. The gameplay is good, well it's identical to SCI, so nothing new to learn, biggest dislike is the lack of attack move command.
The campaign goes like this: After the few opening missions, you get a Battleship from which you launch your attacks on planet of your choosing to do different tasks, in return you get money and research points. Hmm... sounds awfully familiar.. where have I seen almost identical concept before... oh right
DAWN OF WAR II! Really Blizzard, you can come up with your own ideas too, right? Or if you can't then don't take something that was utterly crap and port it into your own game.
DoW II's campaign got boring very fast, but atleast in that you evolved the same guys. In SCII, you can buy unit upgrades and mercenaries, which is IMHO useless. Why I want to buy a team of 2 Firebats when I can train 20 of them in the mission?
The research points allow you to use either Zerg or Protoss technology to better your troops/abilities/buildings which is nice, with the exception that I don't get how I need some Zerg tech to get a big farking gun on-top of my bunker.
Right, well I'm only 4-5 missions in, so hopefully it gets more exciting than this... or I have to start spending my time in the Canteen playing Lost Viking.
