Steve, go into the Submarine NSS file of the Type you were using when you experienced this phenomen.

Open the CFG file and see what the CrashDepth is set at.

It should read somewhere around the 70 metres mark.

if it does, change it to 30 mtres for example and commence a new career and see if that changes the subs behaviour.

It is more than likely a mod conflict though.

Do you have any individual mods that contain sub file CFG's installed?
