Take your time
I suggest you download but add mods over time. You cannot really appreciate what the modders have done unless you see the before and after.
Each patrol should be with one more or one different mod or combination to give you an idea of what has changed.
Some you may not like. You also want to avoid conflicts between them, although so far I haven't found any mods that do that.
