......you might be luckier than you know....I applied MEP 3 with the 20K....in mid patrol...
Suddenly I was being detected and followed by every plane in the RAF....
....Looked like I had hit a hornet's nest and the whole colony was after me. This lasted for days.
Mind you this was in January 1940 and a long way from the English coast. Seems the 20K extented vision is applied to the enemy too. I couldn't approach any vessel either under 20K without being detected. Kinda hard on you to have to do an underwater approach from 20K.
So I killed the extended range but kept all the super great environmental tweaks. Now I'm quite happy.
