Well...no!
Also, quite a few have pulled into ports only to discover the game is conducting an attack of said port. These events are in the game. Lurker spent many months making sure the major engagements are on time evey time. Whether you are there or not is entirely up to you as capt. The only thing missing from SH4 is FM sonar IMO.
