A saltwater croc would probably have a largish 'gator without too much drama, but as they are from different continents it's never likely to happen unless some dumb bugger puts two of them into the same pen in a farm.
Alligators have broad rounder and shorter snouts. Croc snouts are narrower and more triangular.
Sizes vary depending on the species but the Saltwater crocs are the largest living crododilians with large speciments getting up to over 6m (~20ft) long and weighing over 1200kg (~2600lb).
Alligators tend to be smaller ~4m long and weighing around 360kg but the largest recorded specimen was measured at 5.84m (19ft 2in) Seeing two specimens of that size going at it would be interesting but I'd put my money on the croc.
