What's interesting is that they managed to put an eel into the trawler, presumably a smaller and more agile target, while under attack... but still could not hit the tanker in seven tries.
I guess if you're only gonna get one good shot out of eight, it might as well be the one that leaves you free to take as many bad shots as you like at somebody else.
