Bernard. Good to se you are still alive after incident.
The Battle for North Africa is not over yet.
The British are resisting our offensive towards Egypt's oil fields, and despite our continuous bombardments, Malta refuses to go down.
In addition, British forces stationed on the island continue to disrupt Italian efforts to supply Axis forces in North Africa.
It will be up to us to correct this situation.
For that, the 29th Flotilla becomes a permanent combat flotilla based in La Spezia.
The key to this campaign lies in supplying Rommel through the Libyan harbors.
First, we must eliminate Malta by destroying all supply convoys delivering fuel for British aircraft and submarines.
As long as we keep the RAF fighters on the ground, the Luftwaffe will do the rest.
Be aware that the British have reinforced their fleets in Gibraltar and Alexandria.
They are now protecting their convoys with battleships and aircraft carriers.
We, on the other hand, are dependant on the Italian Regia Marina, which at this point is not a very effective fighting force.
Yet if we tip the balance of forces in their favor, and if some of those British battleships were out of the picture, I bet our Italians friends would be much more aggressive.
Now be on your way. We are counting on you Bernard.
