The Hi-Res mod allows you to run SH3 in modes other than 1024x768, if you aren't using it then do a search, not sure where it is, if you can't find it I will upload it.
Note that it will display in wide mode but stretches the image to fit the display.

Now that is interesting.......I have a screnn resolution of 1152 X 864...for no particular reason..lol...just was like that when I bought the flat screen...But I did not know what this "Hi Res" mod was for resolution other than 1024X768.... Stupedily I thought it had to do with high resolution images ..(I.E Texture, etc...) I'd really like to know where to find it....Thank a lot for the info....
