The main awesome thing about EVE is, though it isn't really apparent when you start playing, that the game's world is shaped by the players' actions. What players do in EVE actually effects the territory in the game, most of the market economy and pretty much everything else in the game, while in most other MMOs players just grind run the pre-set quests and instances.

I quite liked Eve when i played it couple years back but i was confused as hell at the gameplay im sure i was still in training area before i gave up - I completed some missions then had to go mine that's when it failed for me, the distance between you and any other player made me feel i was the only one in the universe also /wave or /dance doesn't work in this game
Still I might give it another go
