O'Kane has no bearing on duds, it's just an aiming method, no different than Cromwell, just Cromwell uses a narrower attack angle. Vector is a little better. RR has several video's on these and others. The good thing with O'Kane type attacks is you aim by the wire, no range, no ID'ing ships, ect.., so you just shoot the juicy spots as they pass the wire.
I use O'Kane when I can, but if ships peg you and start zigging or changing speed, all that set up is basically out the window. I prefer easy AOB with multiple targets. Using that I'll use the stad as normal. Once I have my set up, I'll revert back to somewhat O'Kane, just unlock, place a bearing in front of the target and shoot by the wire.
There is no one good attack method. A good skipper has many different tactics and changes up based on the situation at hand.
Over the years I thought we had covered every possible technique, so be interesting to see what you've come up with.
