Funny story, I've seen them here in New York State! (L-29s not the Hinds). I guess there is a group of fliers equipped with them that do airshows and whatnot.
Well one weekend the air show was in town... however I totally forgot that. So I'm walking to work and I hear a jet engine... a
military jet engine, so I look up and flying over head is a single engine jet with straight wings and big old
red stars for roundels.
My first thought was of course "Oh S*hit! RED DAWN!!" I nearly ran in to the woods planning to start digging a fox hole waiting for the paratroopers to start landing.
Then I thought "Oh yea... air show by the lake..."
