You can download some cool stuff from the era at
archive.org and place it it the Washington folder- anything in that folder will play when you tune to the station. This place has old time radio shows, news broadcasts, sports, almost anything you could hope to find. A great resource.
Anything in the events folder will play according to the time and date stamp called for in the events.ini file which you can edit yourself if you want to add events.
You can also download some great radio stations that have already been created by some of our great modders around here. Check out the pinned thread for mods in this forum.
