I hear that.

several years ago we had a big one stretch down out of the cloud base with no warning... it was a serious code brown moment.

it stretched down to the ground for about 5 seconds and sucked back up into the cloud and vanished like it never happened.

it hit a gas station... not a scratch on the whole building except for one pump had been moved to the middle of the street, upright, with the hoses and handles still neatly stowed on the pump levers.
