True, at least there was a refund.
But i think more what firewall is trying to say is - what happened to decent honest human beings who would sell you something and hold up their end of the bargain?
I have made a number of deals on craigslist this past 6 or 8 months.
Sold a hard drive, never been used, fresh in the box with shrink wrap and all. $100
Sold an iphone with several accessories $125
Sold an exercise bike $100
Sold two defunct computer monitors that were just laying around $50
Sold two defunct computers which were left in a closet when we moved into this place to some techie for parts $0 (guess i actually gave them away)
Sold a big screen TV that was given to me by a friend who didnt want to move it $700
the messed up thing is that 2 of those deals closed escrow at like 10pm in some restaurant or retail store parking lot which got me to thinking... whats to keep "billy bob" from stabbing me in the gut and just
taking the hard drive?
I now have a deals in daylight in a public place only policy... not that i ever felt in danger, but there is always the possibility.
But yeah, online sales and purchases can be a good and bad thing
On craigslist in the past 6 or 8 months i have made myself a decent $1,000+
