And apparently it cost something like a quarter million to build... all that for what was essentially a six-story high metal structure covered with flammable material, sitting in a pool of water, lightning rod sold separately.
Hey, you know what doesn't get struck by lightning and burn up if you spend a quarter of a million dollars on it? About a quarter of a million other things they could've spent that money on that might've actually put food in an empty stomach or shoes on a poor kid's feet.
