Yeah its a crock of sh*t. People have to start to fight back against IP filtering. I get sick of tying to get information and watch resources only to get blocked because I'm not physically in the USA - WTF? It really sucks speaking as a US citizen.
Anyway for those of you like me outside of ConUS and not using a military IP and are not inclined to deal with TOR servers and other highly technical leaps to subvert screening efforts I highly suggest using
Hide IP.
It seems to work well and does not require any technical skill. I can watch TV shows again as well as purchase things such as media from US based website (looking at you Amazon).
