The best thing to do is post this in the thread where you downloaded it or in the mods workshop thread.
As far as I know those playable ships only work in single missions not in a
campaign.
By the way you just made my day, it's been a hard one till I read your post. I'm not trying to be smart but the expression is "it sucks" not "it drinks". Thanks for the laugh I need it.
