I have come across some other problems though, my torpedos seem to sometimes be going through my target so im gonna have to look into that. Also my contacts on the map and attack map disappear when i zoom in on them so im left doing quite inaccurate calculations.

Oh yes, the missing restart. We could make a club - been there, done that
Reg. the disappering symbols you may play with SymbolZoom value in Data\Menu\cfg\Maps.cfg - not sure if that will "solve" it, as it could be a matter of RFB designed to have "invisible" ships shapes
If the latter is the case, then you'll have to make a mod for adding shapes to RFB...
