I don't think it has anything to do with SH5 or DRM at all.
If you look closely at Alexey aka Brag you will note he is a starving writer.... Which in itself is fine, but look even harder and you will see his blatant spamming of his book through his signature in each post.
SH5/DRM has been a publicity tool for this poor or broke chap, unfortunately I don't think his sales have gone up.
