Exactly what part of "Or even the largest one" did you miss? Maybe I've just had too many years of Southern apologists denying that slavery had anything to do with the war. This certainly looks like a step in that direction.

It most definitely has, and your attempts to hide it are more than a little frightening.
Also you keep harping on the "democracy vs republic" thing, which
is very minor. So you have a group of people who in their own documents proclaim that they have to bring the country back to its Christian roots, but the fact that they don't say that in the curriculum plan means they're not really trying to do that. Do you think anyone who feels the need to control people comes right out and says it. The fact that they believe that should be enough to make anyone sit up and take notice. This thing is scary, and you want to justify it.
