Thankfully his character dies about halfway through, after which I turned it off.
There are actually quite a few high quality old-school actors in that - Prochnow, certainly, plus Patrick Stewart, Jose Ferrer, Sian Phillips, Max von Sydow... Max freakin' von Sydow, for Pete's sake. You try to tell yourself that it can't be THAT bad... but it is.
I also have to recommend any 1970s Godzilla movie especially after it's been dubbed in English.
Godzilla vs. Megalon stands out in my memory but I'm sure there are plenty more to choose from. And the horrible gaijin edit of the original is pretty awful, especially if you've seen the
original original.
