I played and still have it in the attic along with the cloth 688 splash patch that came in the box

The first subsim I played was Silent service on the CBM64 (tape version) I then upgraded to a 1541 Disk drive and bought the disk version.

My favourite subsim to date is Aces of the Deep, my only gripe being that you did not get awarded tonnage for warships. I never understood why they did that.

I may reinstall it using DosBox just for a trip down Memory lane.
