Sanyo Solar Ark in Gifu, Japan. The steel structure supports 5,046 solar cells. Together the cells generate an estimated 530,000 KWh of electricity per year. Sanyo puts the money saved on electricity towards environmental efforts.
The weight of the structure (~3000 tons) is supported on four steel columns.
