Why not build it in game as a reward? It's a bit akward having to stop the game, log in to a website, look for the rewards, downloading and installing them before firing up the game again, while the same could be done with a convinient ingame system. I see no gain over going to the net to get core game material in the net when it was obviously available from the very start of release.
IMHO just a justification to get U-Play involved somehow, and in a very akward way. (Lessons from Bioware...if you offer DLCs for free from the start, to make purchasing an original game worthwhile and rewarding, make them real game changers, ADDING to the game, not making it complete with stuff that should have been in there from the start)
