Funnily enough I just finished watching it.
I thought it was better than most submarine movies, except for some of the technical aspects like the first scene where they torpedo a US sub while submerged and that the kaiten human torpedo survived a depth of 190 meters even though it actually limited the depth a sub could take and would have been crushed long before the 100 meter mark.

PS. Das Boot is still the best sub movie ever
