2&1/2 months? that is a long patrol... they probably thought you were skiving on hawaii with the hula girls or something
mind you I'm playin uboats and life in the kriegsmarine ain't much better, still I consider it a long patrol if i go more than 6 weeks my fuel & torps never seem to last much longer than that. 1st patrol, 29000 tonnes sunk I get an Iron cross 1st class and a... well nothing. not even a word. no fancy new deck gun/aa gun/experimental radar etc...
