I have a high-end system with the graphic setting set at optimum and I pretty much have the same thing you are experiencing (I use the 20km version). For me, this isn't a big deal. The very thing I admire and enjoy the most with the SH5 water mod is the realistic colors of the water and sky in all weather conditions. The water movement itself in high winds in the North Atlantic is a good trade off for the short-comings of the other so-called graphic "flaws". Usually, if I am in a newer boat on the onset of a new career, I will keep the external camera on. After the 1st or 2nd patrol I turn it off and simulate the actual views from the conning tower, etc. Therefore, the problems you mentioned do not matter. But that's me. Not saying you should do that too. So, it is kind of a trade-off.  |
ya, perhaps when im done my first campaign ill turn off external cam. for now im learning to use the TDC and generally messing around learning and whatnot. often ill pause and spend a good 20 minutes taking pictures.
