Screwing around with time compression can cause all sorts of problems with the game.
SH3CMDR does this safely.
CMDR does not make any permanent changes in your install; neither does JSGME.
You need both; if you read the readmes included with the programs, everything is very clear. If you need any help, just ask for it.
