Well, I've left this hanging for two months, and things are improving - sort of.
I still haven't found a job I can do, but just a couple of days ago I got a call from a VA rep. She wanted to know when I was ready to move.
Move? I've been living in the homeless shelter for almost three months now, and I had no idea what she was talking about. Well, when I first met her back in November apparently she put me on a list for VA housing and I just plain forgot.
So today I was placed in a program for displaced veterans and moved into what is essentially a hotel room. Small, but it has everything I need (including internet) and it's a whole lot better than having 400 roommates.
So I should be online for myself in a few days and not have to come to the library any more. And cook my own food. And sleep in or stay out late if I need to.
