Came in at 2k meters in a Stuka. Hit my divebrake, rolled over and laid a 250kg bomb into the middle of town. As I came up out of my dive a Spitfire passed and got a few hits on me. I was able to evade long enough to make it to friendly AA guns and the Spit was soon toast. I could see at least 30 Panzers heading to town along with many opels to set up the infantry assault so I felt good about our chances and decided to leave the area.
On my RTB journey it was smooth sailing until I went to land. The damage I took from the spitfire made it very hard to control, and just as I came in I clipped my landing gear on the top of the trees surrounding the field and "poof" I was a ball of fire.
