Anyway, considering my bad experience, why would you go from nVidia to ATI. That in my opinion is a huge step backward.

NVidia has slipped behind ATi in the past two-three years. Drivers support is also much better with ATi than Nvidia. They have monthly official (WHQL) releases for the past 5-6 years. Their driver team is also very responsive.
I don't know if SH5 is a TWIMTBP title, but Nvidia has been caught red handed providing support or other "incentives" to the developers, so that their game would run slower on ATi hardware or with missing features.
Basically, when NVidia produce a solid architecture like it has been the Geforce4 or the recent series 8000 they stick to the rules, otherwise, they'll resort to dirty marketing techniques, cheating in games, driver that will lower rendering quality, games "dis-optimized" for the competitors.
There's lot of firms in the IT area which should learn the meaning of business integrity.
