Operation Epic Fail
A tale of epic battles, retreats and surrenders spread out over five years coming to a Mediterranean near you soon!

Operation Epic Fail is scheduled to begin upon the German invasion of France and the traditional Italian bandwagon jump of the time. It will consist of several stages or sub-operations will which be outlined below.
Sub-Operation Rock and a Hard Place
Italian forces in Spain will assist Spanish forces in capturing the British base of Gibraltar.
Sub-Operation Minor Nuisance
Our small fleet of naval bombers and submarines will attempt to close the Straits of Gibraltar to British warships.
Sub-Operation Not worth the effort
Italian forces will dig in on the French border and make offensive gestures towards the French
Sub-Operation French Franc
Should the Spanish decide to invade France then assistance is to be given where available without endangering the fail rate of other operations
Sub-Operation Zog Rush
Italian forces will enter into Greece across the Albanian border and once Greek forces are drawn north an amphibious assault will take place in the south of Greece to assist the northern assault. Pending on the fail rate of this operation the forces will push south through to Crete and then on to assist the beleaguered forces in North Africa.
Sub-Operation Why bother packing a chute?
Once the relevant doctrines are complete and the units formed an airdrop will be made on Malta, continued airdrops will be made until a bridge of corpses is made to the Italian mainland where forces will march across to Malta, or until Malta is worn down enough to be captured.
Sub-Operation Don't stand a chance
Italian forces in North Africa (including one mechanised division to be finished in April) will use flanking maneuvers to isolate and destroy British forces in North Africa and then advance to the Suez. Or, more likely, run as fast as they can to Tripoli.
However, the primary objective of Operation Epic Fail is the control of the Mediterranean sea, or the Mare Nostrum as Il Duck likes to call it. This will be conducted by the three new level three and four carriers which have been added to the standard fleet which will most likely resort to ramming the enemy or at least form nice artificial reefs for sea life in the area.
The primary objective of this campaign should be complete by 1941 so that big brother Germany can have an easier ride of it, because if he doesn't...then we'll see how well we can make borscht out of pasta...
