You are correct! This isn't the greatest model I've built. but it is intended to be a father/son project and see a lot of time in the water, so I wouldn't be playing with a really fancy kit. (not for a first one anyway). If I were to really build the 109, this thing isn't even remotely accurate, but I'm not building the 109. I found some rocket cones that meet the measurement to make some mk 13 torps, now I just need to decide how bad I really want to make them. I figure it would cost around $15 bucks a torp to build.
Then there's the crew that came with the kit
. These are absolutely awful. Maybe they'll look better after they are painted.
