I never said Bad Things don't happen w/cops outside the Deep South. They do!! I'm reasonably sure that it's far more likely to happen in states where authoritarianism rules, and the DS is certainly that. And it has a long and well established record of corruption in law enforcement. Once again, that doesn't mean there is no corruption anywhere else, but it seems to be on a different level in the South. I am reasonably sure I could mine numbers to back me up, but I don't care to expend the effort. You'd probably think I'm cherrypicking, anyway, and ignore it. I know I do when I'm pretty sure someone else is cherrypicking.
