Perhaps you would like to discuss the case of Oscar Grant - held down, punched and while held down - shot and killed. Happened more recently than your little episode - out there on the "lets all hug and get along" left coast - a little place called San Francisco...

At least 2 cops there - the guy on the ground - beaten and then killed - and OMG it wasn't in the deep South!!!
Bad stuff happens everywhere - and it doesn't matter what part of the country. In fact, if you really want to look at incidents of police brutality - the West Coast is going to likely have a higher incident rate per capita.
Yes - a horrible thing happened to that woman it looks like - she very likely got the crap beat out of her by a cop who got tired of her drunk lip. At least she didn't end up dead....
Have nothing better to do than try to find a cultural or geographical group you don't like and run em into the ground? Oh - but its ok as long as they don't normally agree with you.
