The only mod I have is GWX3.
I think the problem is the degree scale doesn't change when zoomed in. So how do you compensate/calculate off of this?

In fact I encountered the same problem that leaded to the 10x magnification: In real life kaleuns were told to use the low power 1.5x zoom to make range and AOB measuring due to the unreliabilty of 6x for that purpose. 6x was limited to target identificaction and evaluation (Tonnage, length...) purposes, so I finally left the calibration for the 1.5x zoom as in real life....but it seems too difficult to get accurate measurements with it.
