Default I don't think this thread has yet gotten out of hand

the concept of this thread is interesting and tho it may not be overly productive I personally see no harm in letting it continue to run it's course as a discussion of the overall business model of the attempt to protect a company investment, vs consumer rights and usability.
For my two cents, I fear that intrusive methods are here to stay, and may yet get worse, but that doesn't mean we should roll over and say nothing. I think the majority of this threads members have it right that, the negative effect of DRM on paying customers isn't going to register very highly to ubi given that its PC market share isn't as large as its counsel investment. I doubt the DRM will ever be removed from shV and I think that is unfortunate. I did buy the game, it is mostly broken in its current state, and I hope for it to improve before patch support goes away. I personally think that the "always on connection" is silly for a largely single player game, but my lap top can't run it any way so for now it has no effect on me personally, I only play it at home. I respect the folks who have chosen to hold out. and admire there conviction. I may have made a Faustian bargain in choosing to buy the game at full price, but I do want them to know that there is interest in good sub sim games. the best thing any one can do is write to the company and tell them how you feel and try to address there need to make a profit and protect there investment at the same time that you express why your needs aren't being met. I think that more than any thing will have real effect. just complaining accomplishes nothing.
