Sorry if this sounds dumb, but you mean essensially if the watch crew couldn't see it if we were on the surface, don't expect to see any ship icons or target data appear even if said ship is
right there in the attack scope?
That would seem to correlate with what's been happening since sending Nelson to the bottom I think.
