Last subsim was SS eh, well I say that you
must give Aces of the Deep and Silent Hunter 1 a try. Don't worry about the graphics, you'll find it's not so important when you have a destroyer chasing your butt.
After those, SH3+GWX is also a must. I think a fully modded SH4 is also very good, but I have no experience with it.
