Just kidding, that must have bloody hurt! I once burnt my the part of my hand between my thumb and finger on the side of a heat lamp at work, it sliced through the skin like a (literal) hot knife through butter but then did me the favour of cauterising the wound afterwards
Still got a slight scar there.
