Oprah as America's benevolent earth mother"
First of all, who ever said she had that image? Oprah is ok in my book, does some good stuff, some stuff I don't agree with. But one thing she is good at is making money! But I have never heard her or anyone else refer to her as America's benevolent earth mother.
I think this author is making a strawman just to make her argument. Guess she want's to sell a book or something.
Oh noes! Oprah has a stuck up celebrity attitude! Stop the presses, this is important!
