Computer game designer Jane McGonigal talks aload of BS
Seriously. She has some good points as in games when we come up against barriers we keep trying where in real life we either try a few times or give up move on and try something else with the notion "It just wasn't for me" excuse. We just quit. No Epic Win like in gaming when completing a game or just beating a boss etc.,. Epic!
Games like World of Warcraft give players the means to save worlds, and incentive to learn the habits of heroes. What if we could harness this gamer power to solve real-world problems? Jane McGonigal says we can, and explains how.
IMO If gamers had the tools to save the world from its problems, given in the wrong hands Fallout 3 would become a reality.
