Lol that looked like fun. I had to try that out.
I used 'lighten' layer effect on a darkened face beneath, and masking the new face with a mask layer effect, so that you can correrct mistakes as you make the mask.
His chest hairs didn't make it into the picture

Edit: I added some shadow and darkened the face abit. I didn't have a photo of myself available so I just picked a male hollywood actor.
