I can remember being a little kid and thinking of my 15-year-old babysitter as one of the grownups. Of course my teachers were "real old!"
Our local library has tours of school kids come through. I see some of the teachers and think "She looks about the same age as my daughters."
Everything is relative. My 'baby' sister (twelve years younger than me, so I babysat her when she was little) is approaching fifty.
I just think about my 82-year-old dad, and I'm a kid again.
