If you are using GWX3 you'll also need to install the config files for Commander + GWX3:

If you use the No Fatigue model provided with Commander, you won't need to edit the basic.cfg to remove fatigue as an issue. However Notepad should work fine if you need to edit any cfg files in the future.

If you try to open a cfg file and get a popup saying Windows needs to know which program to open it with, select "choose from list" and then select Notepad from the list.

Or you might try right-clicking on the file and see if you get an "Open with..." option in the menu that pops up, if so you can click that and choose Notepad from there.
