I did the same thing with my basic.cfg and then noticed later I wasn't getting renown for those things (altho you'll probably never get it for "CompletedPatrol," IIRC there's a stock bug and that one never works no matter what you do).

I finally realized that I had enabled some other small mod that overwrote my edited basic.cfg file.

Didn't get a warning notice from JSGME, of course, because I hadn't used it to overwrite the file to make the renown edits in the first place.
